Everything has, and is, energy – Animal Communication is the ability to connect energetically and telepathically in an effort to have a better understanding of an animal’s thoughts and concerns. This leads to a deeper and more quality relationship; an offering to treat one another as equals, to hear their innermost feelings, empower them with choice, and to solve problems, together.

Behavioral issues/Cultivating Understanding

Determine the source of the behavior issue (aggression, improper elimination, anxiety) and work toward an understanding and resolution for both you and your pet

Explain changes in the household to your pet, such as a new baby or animal joining the family

Simply asking how they are or what their thoughts are about a particular issue
Grieving pets
- Assist in healing an animal’s grieving heart with Reiki and explaining to them where their loved one has gone.
- Share with their loved one in spirit any messages they may have.
Relocation/Moving
- Share with the animal why, where and when will they be moving.
- Ask and answer any concerns they have about the trip.
- Share images telepathically with them of their new home.
End of Life/transitioning
- Explain to the animal the process of transitioning to spirit, including when/if the vet will be arriving and the procedures followed.
- Share with them that they will always be able to visit their family in spirit and will be released from the physical back to their beautiful spirit form.
- Hold space for them energetically during the procedure and share any final messages with their human families. This may include who met the animal on the other side.
Fear & Abandonment Issues
- Determine the source of their fear/anxiety/abandonment.
- Work with the pet parent to eliminate the source as much as possible.
- Share Reiki with the animal to create a more peaceful inner state.
Animals in Spirit
- Connect with your beloved pet in spirit and share any messages you may have or that they have for you.
- Provide comfort and alleviate grief with the assurance from your pet that, all is well.

Sue is certainly a skilled, effective animal communicator.
My dog Boba began to nip other dogs while running at the dog park we frequent. This behavior began after he was bitten by another dog while chasing his ball. Sue was able to communicate with Boba and as a result of their interaction, the behavior stopped! A few weeks later Boba began to nip again. I called Sue and she had another “talk” with Boba. Questions & Answers
What is the process for setting up a session for communicating with my animal?
After you contact me and we determine what your needs are, I will request a photo of your pet, his/her age and gender. I will also ask who is in the household and if there have been any recent changes. I will not want too many details ahead of time and will keep your information and all parts of the reading strictly confidential. I will conduct the reading offline and call you with the results. I will also email you a written summary of the reading.
Can an animal communicator guarantee behavior changes in my animal?
No, animals, like us, have minds of their own. The goal however, is to come to an understanding as to why a particular behavior is occurring from the animal’s viewpoint and work together toward a resolution that works for all parties.
What is the difference between communicating with my animal and sharing Reiki with them?
Communicating with your animal is just that. I telepathically connect with them and have a conversation. It is an active back and forth exchange. Sharing Reiki with them is a beautiful, yet passive activity where I hold space for them in love and light. A space where all healing can take place. Many sessions will include some Reiki.

Susan Rhem-Westhoff is a Certified Professional Animal Communicator and Animal Reiki Practitioner, working with animals is her favorite thing to do; she is deeply humbled, and eternally grateful, for the opportunity to do so.
Helping animals, and their people, live the best possible lives together is her passion.
This is possible by: communicating with the animal, sharing the information and problem solving with their people, or it may be simply holding healing space for them and/or their people in the form of Reiki.
Her connection with animals and nature has been deeply spiritual from the time she was a child.
She didn’t always understand, when she was growing up, that not everyone had that same connection and soon realized that most did not see animals as equals, or as more enlightened species than man. When she realized her beliefs and connections were not the norm, she was even more thankful for each and every relationship she had with them. Currently in her family they have 3 dogs and 2 cats. All are rescues and beautiful special beings, who continue to be her best teachers.
